Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North Ameer and member of central executive council Mohammad Selim Uddin said, “The poor people of Dhaka City are suffering from coldness like the rest of the country. As a responsible, idealist and pro-people organization, Jamaat-e-Islami cannot be inactive. Islamic ideal works for the welfare of mass people. Social service is the rights of people. We are working for the welfare of mass people.”
He urged the government, including all political parties, donor agencies, wealthy people of the society and leaders and activists of the organization to come forward to reduce the miseries of the cold people of the city.
He today said these as the chief guest while distributing winter clothes among cold people in an auditorium of the capital. Kafrul west thana of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North arranged the program.
Thana Ameer Abdul Motin Khan presided over the program. Thana secretary Atique Hasan conducted it. Dr Fakharuddin Manik, assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North and member of central Mojlish-e-Shura, was the special guest in the program. Thana working committee member Mr. Sultan Mahmud, Mr, Shaheen Hossain, Mr. Amdadul Haque and others were also present in the program.
“Islam works for the welfare of endangered people. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has been working for many years for the welfare of mass people. Jamaat has been trying to assist people during national crisis and disasters. Our efforts will be continued in the next In-Sha-Allah,” he added.
He called forth all to come forward to assist the endangered people.
