Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North Ameer and member of central executive council Mohammad Selim Uddin said, “The goal of Jamaat politics is to serve the endangered people.”
He today said these as the chief guest while distributing foods and winter clothes among the fire damaged people at 8 number sector rail gate slum area of Uttara. Uttara east thana of Jamaat Dhaka City North arranged the program. Thana Ameer Mahbubul Alam presided over the program. Thana secretary Mahfuzur Rahman conducted it. Thana working committee member Sultan Ahammed, Omor Farukh Soshel and others were also president in the program.
“State will solve the problems of mass-people. The idea of modern state is from the welfare of people. But a welfare state is not established in the country. So people are deprived of the facilities of welfare state. As citizens, they pay taxes to the state as usual, but the existing state system is not able to guarantee their rights. As a result, they are depriving. Government do not assist the endangered people even in the time of crisis and disaster. There is no alternative but turning the country into a welfare Islamic state,” he added.
He urged all to be united under the banner of Jamaat.
“Fire incidents have become a daily occurrence in the capital. Especially in urban slums, such unexpected incidents are happening constantly. It causes havoc loss of life and property every year. After these incidents, the government and the concerned departments temporarily took action, but it never came to result. As a result, many questions have arisen about the fire incident in the slums. It is time to think whether these incidents are a planned sabotage or not,” he also added.
He demanded to government to form an investigative committee to enquire the whole incidents. He also called for all to come forward to assist the fire damaged people.
“The circle of the government has started to be narrow. The Russian foreign minister has already postponed his state visit to Bangladesh. Japan ambassador criticized the 2018 National Election. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has also postponed the state visit to Japan. These incidents prove that the government is a critical situation. The sooner this tyrannical and failed government leaves power, the better for the country and the nation,” City Ameer further added.
He urged the government to resign immediately. He also called for the government to hand over power to caretaker government. Otherwise, the government will be ousted through mass-movement.
