Maulana Ruhul Ameen, member and word president of Mirpur Thana West of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North, passes away at 10am today while undergoing treatment at Delta Hospital in the capital – Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun. He was suffering from various physical complications including cancer for a long time. He dies at 64. At the time of his death, he left numerous relatives and well-wishers including his wife, 3 sons and 5 daughters. His home district is at Sadar thana of Luxmipur district.
Maulana Ameen’s Janaza was held at No. 7 Road Mosque of Rupnagar area after Asar prayer. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North Ameer and member of central executive council Mohammad Selim Uddin, Jamaat Dhaka City North secretary and member of central working committee Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim, assistant secretary and member of central Mojlish-e-Shura Lashkar Muhammad Taslim and Mahfuzur Rahman, thana Ameer Monirul Islam Mrida, Nayeeb-e-Ameer MM Liakat Ali, secretary Rafiqul Islam Rimon, office secretary Hasanul Banna Chapal, HRD secretary Khandakhar Enamuzzahir, social welfare secretary Jamal Uddin, ulama secretary Mosharaf Hossain and other leaders and activists were present in Janaza prayer. Later, the body of the deceased was taken to Sadar thana of Lakshmipur district and buried at the family graveyard after Esha prayer after the second Janaza.
City Ameer said in his pre-Janaza speech that the late Maulana Ruhul Amin was a renowned Islamic preacher. He was a fighter of Islamic movement and a fearless soldier of Maidan. We lost a Naybe Nabi in his death. He dreamt of turning the country into an Islamic welfare state according to the light of the Quran and Sunnah. He remained steadfast on that path till the last day of his life.
“We should try heart and soul to complete the unfinished work of the deceased,” he added.
He urged all to be united to fulfill the dreams of the deceased.
The City Ameer prayed for the forgiveness of the soul of the deceased and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant him the highest Jannat. He also expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and wished them patience.
