Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North secretary and member of central working committee Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim said, “Inflation has broken all past records due to government’s unbridled corruption, irregularities and market syndicate. Fuel price has been increased. A silent famine has been started in the country.”
Then he demanded the unconditional release of all Islamic preachers, political leaders and activists. Otherwise the common people will not be inactive.
He urged the government to immediately control price hike and to restore discipline in the market. Otherwise, government has to face public anger for failure.
He today said these while addressing at a post-demonstration rally in the capital. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North arranged the demonstration protesting the price hike of daily necessities and demanding the immediate unconditional release of imprisoned leaders and alem-ulemas. The protest demonstration was started from Badda bridge and ended at Gulshan Link Road with a short rally. The demonstrators moved various important roads of the city. Lashkar Mohammad Taslim, assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North and member of central Mojlish-e-Shura, Mahfuzur Rahman, Nazim Uddin Mollah, Dr. Fakharuddin Manik, Yeasin Arafat, member of working committee of Jamaat Dhaka City North, Muhammad Ataur Rahman Sarkar, member of Mojlish-e-Shura of Jamaat Dhaka City North, Fazle Ahammad Fazlu, Kutub Uddin and others were also present in the demonstration.
“The government has chosen the odious path of depoliticization by failing to deal with political opponents politically and ideologically. As part of that conspiracy, the tyrannical government has brutally killed 5 top Jamaat leaders in the name of so-called justice. The government has illegally imprisoned world famous Islamic preacher, speaker, former MP and Nayeeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Allama Delware Hossain Saydee, former MP and Nayeeb-e-Ameer Maulana ANM Shamsul Islam, secretary general Professor Gholam Parwar, assistant secretary general ATM Azharul Islam and Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan. No autocratic and undemocratic force was not saved by following torture and persecution in the past and they will not be too,” he added.
He again demanded the unconditional and release of all political leaders and activists to government immediately avoiding the politics of hatred and revenge. Otherwise, they will be released through mass-movement In-Sha-Allah.
“Government has involved in a deep conspiracy to destroy Islam and Islamic values from the country. As part of that, they are torturing, imprisoning and persecuting the alem-ulemas. They have subtly omitted the religious education from the National Curriculum to divert the nation from Islam. They have targeted the famous Islamic preachers and speakers to implement that plan,” he also added.
“Government is not elected by the people, rather they are selected by foreign lords. The foreign minister has proved it. Prime Minister’s recent visit to India makes it clear,” the city secretary further added.
This anti-people and undemocratic government must be dethroned immediately for the greater interest of the nation and the state.
He urged all political parties of the country to be united to dethrone this government and to establish the demand of election caretaker government.
