Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North Ameer and member of central executive council Mohammad Selim Uddin said, “Islam does not support dependency, idleness and laziness, rather it strongly discourages them.”
He today said these as the chief guest while speaking at an auditorium of the capital. Pallabi thana south of Jamaat Dhaka City North arranged the program. He distributed hand cash among the young entrepreneurs and small businessmen aiming to create self-employment. Thana Ameer professor Ashraful Alam presided over the program. Thana secretary Abul Kasham Pathan conducted it. Dr. Fakharuddin Manik, assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North and member of central Mojlish-e-Shura, was the special guest. Abdul Gafur, member of working committee of Pallabi thana, Ruhul Ameen, Sarfaraz Khan Pappu, Farukh Hossain and others were also present in the program.
“Various crimes, unrest, chaos and immoral acts spread in the society and the state through unemployment. Jamaat-e-Islami has been working to remove unemployment. The welfare of humanity and the emancipation of mankind is the motto of Islamic ideals. Man is the best creation of Allah. Allah says, ‘You (true believers in Islamic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad SAW and his Sunnah (legal ways, etc.)) are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind’. But it is a matter of regret that some people are not working for the sake of humanity. They are working for their own. They are using their brilliancy, thought and wisdom in destructive activities. Selfishness, parochialism, factionalism, familism, nepotism, group interest and small individual interests prevail over the national interest. The vicious competition of how to own one’s own influence, prestige and illicit finance is now widespread. So we have to come out of this vicious circle for the greater interest of the country and the nation,” he added.
He urged the government, NGOs, charitable organizations and wealthy persons to play roles to remove unemployment from the society as well as the country.
“Our state is suffering a lot as it deviates from Islamic ideals. Islam is a complete code of life. Our state is not led by the rules of Islam though our state religion is Islam. Islamophobia has become the part of the constitution. There is no reflection the ideals of Islam in our education curriculum. It has been done in a subtle way. Young learners have been involved in obscenity, promiscuity and immorality. All should be raised voices against the misrule to emancipate the nation and the state,” he also added.
He urged all to be united to establish the mass demand of caretaker government.
“Islam is the complete code of life. It teaches us brotherhood and justice. The believers are nothing else than brothers. The believers, men and women, are Auliya (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another. Verily, Allah is merciful to him who is merciful to His servants. Everybody should work together for the welfare of helpless and poor people,” he again added.
He again urged all to work together to make Islam victorious.
