Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North secretary and member of central working committee Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim said, “Jamaat is not any power centered, high ambitious and conventional political party rather, it has been working relentlessly for the welfare of humanity since its establishment. At the same time, we are committed to building up a prosperous nation and establishing a justice based society.”
He urged all to build up a steel-like-firmness unity to turn the country into a welfare state. He on Wednesday said these as the chief guest while addressing at a half-yearly member (rokon) conference of Chandragonj thana of Lakshmipur district. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami arranged this conference. Thana Ameer M Mollah presided over the conference. Thana secretary conducted it. District Ameer master Ruhul Ameen was the special guest in the program. Maulana Nasir Uddin Mahmud, assistant secretary of Lakshmipur district, Jamaat leader Farukh Hossain, Nur-Nabi, Abdus Shahid and others were also present.
“Allah (SW) has made it mandatory on all Muslims to strive for De’en (the establishment of Islam). It is narrated in Hadith that the person who has no mission to establish Islam is not a believer. De’en is the life goal of every Muslim. We have to try heart and soul to win Islamic movement as victorious by overcoming all obstacles and limitations for the demand of faith,” he added.
He urged all manpower, who have taken oath, to play an effective role to reach the message of Islam to every person. “The path of Islamic movement was never easy rather, it was very difficult. Those who have invited people to the path of Islam in the ages have to tolerate an indescribable torture from the side of eternal self-interests. Prophet Muhammad (saw) and His companions did not get relived from it. He was besieged with His relatives and companions for long time at Shiabe Abu Talib suffering from the persecution of the infidels. Food and water supply was stopped of that time. As a result, they sated their hunger by eating the leaves of Babla tree. Finally, He and His companions had to migrate to Madina. They had to leave their birthplace. We have to come forward with patience, wisdom and prudence. We will not frustrate In-Sha-Allah,” he also added.
He urged all to be active in the Islamic movement by ignoring the bloodshot eyes of the oppressor. Our birthplace is very suitable for Islamic movement. Public opinion is also on our side. If we are able to organize people, the victory of Islam will be easy. If we want to organize people, the activists of Islamic movements have to acquire the qualities of leadership. They have to study The Holy Quran, Hadith and Islamic literature. At the same time, they have to perform Salat of Tahazzut.
“There is no scope to be emotional of the activists of Islamic movement. They have to deal the situation with prudence,” he again added. He urged all to be prepared to deal with the conspiracies against Islamic movement.
“The government has miserably failed to lead the country. The purchasing ability of common people has fallen to the marginal level. Price hike has created mass sufferings. The government has not taken necessary measures for the flood victims of the country including Sylhet,” city secretary further added. He demanded to the government to take necessary steps for the flood victims of the country.
Basically, the government has not been elected by people so they have no accountabilities to people. In this situation, there is no alternative but establishing a public representative government.
He urged the government to check public opinion by holding a free, fair and acceptable election under a caretaker government immediately. “Otherwise, people will establish their rights by an extreme form of movement,” he warned.
