Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North Ameer and member of central executive council Mohammad Selim Uddin said, “Government has engaged in a deep conspiracy to alienate the nation from religion by spoiling Islam and Islamic values from the country. As a part of this conspiracy, the government has formulated a secular education policy up to secondary level by making religious education optional including the persecution of alem-ulemas. If this plan of the government is implemented, the new generation will become atheists and devoid of values.”
