“If the wealthy people helped the endangered people, then there would have no poor people in the country. It is our religious duty to help the flood victims. Getting aid for the flood affected people is not any mercy, rather it is their rights. Jamaat-e-Islami has not been stopped though many of their top leaders have been hanged, imprisoned and tortured. They are doing their activities for the welfare of people.”
Bangladesh Jamaat -e- Islami Dhaka City North Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin and member of central executive council said these while addressing as the chief guest on Tuesday, 24 April while distributing reliefs to the flood victims at different villages of Charkhai and Sheola union of Beanibazar upazila.
Principal Abdul Hannan, Ameer of Jamaat Sylhet district south, Hafez Nazmul Islam, member of working committee of Sylhet district south and former chairman of Golapganj upazila parishad, Mr. Mezbah Uddin Naeem, Ameer of Uttara thana of Jamaat Dhaka City North, Maulana Faizul Islam, Ameer of Beanibazar upazila, thana secretary Maulana Abul Kashem Chowdhury, secretary Ekhlas Uddin, Adilur Rahman, president of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir of Beanibazar upazila south, Abdus Shukkur, president of west, secretary Golum Kibria, Maulana Amir Hossain Chowdhury, Ameer of Charkhai union, Jamaat leader Milad Ahmad Chowdhury, Maulana Abdul Awal, president of Sheola union, Muhammad Abdul Hamid, president of Labor Welfare of Beanibazar upazila, Shafi Ahammed Munna, former secretary of Labor Welfare, Delwar Hossain, president of Panchakhanda cultural sansad and many other Jamaat and Shibir leaders and activists were also present in the program.
