Selim Uddin Said, “If people are self-reliant, the nation will also be self-reliant. Jamaat has been trying its best to make the underprivileged people self-reliant since its establishment as it is a pro-people political organization. In that continuity, we are distributing various materials including sewing machines and Eid items today to make the underprivileged people work-oriented.”
He urged all to be self-reliant. “State is responsible for solving all types of problems of citizens. Contrarily, citizens pay taxes and show loyalty to the state. But they are being deprived of these facilities from the state as the systems of a welfare state were not established in the country. Jamaat-e- Islami Bangladesh has been trying to make the country prosperous, welfare and self-reliant since its establishment. If the efforts of Jamaat are successful, and the country is turned into a welfare state, then the state will solve all types of problems of the citizens In-Sha-Allah,” he added.
He called upon all to remain united by participating in the efforts of struggle to turn the country into a welfare state.
