Bangladesh Jamaat-e- Islami Dhaka City North Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin and also the member of central executive council said, “The so-called Gono Commission, a body coordinated by the Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee, is trying to spoil the character of alem-ulemas.”
“The alem-ulemas are the best sons of the Muslim Ummah,” he added.
Then he quoted the verse no. 28 of Surah Al Fatir where Allah (SW) said, “And of men and AdDawab (moving living creatures, beasts, etc.), and cattle, in like manner of various colours. It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allah. Verily, Allah is AlLMighty, OftForgiving.”
“The Islamic preachers and scholars are the heirs of Prophets (PBUT) and it is narrated in the Sunan Abu Dawood. The nation will not accept any conspiracy against them.” he again added. Jamaat Dhaka City North Ameer urged the nation to remain united to deal with the conspiracy against the country and Islam.
He said this while speaking at a rally after a protest demonstration in the capital today. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North arranged this in protest of the allegation by the so- called Gono Commission. The so-called commission submitted a false, fabricated and speculative list of 116 prominent alem-ulemas and Islamic preachers to the Anti Corruption Commission alleging corruption, money laundering, militant financing, spreading religious hate speech and misinterpretation of Islam.
The demonstration was brought out from Mirpur-1 Gol Chattar and ended to Technical with a short rally. It moved various important roads of the city. Member of central Majlis-e-Shura and assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North Lashkar Muhammad Taslim, Mahfuzur Rahman, Nazim Uddin Mollah, Dr. Fakhruddin Manik, member of working committee of Jamaat Dhaka City North Ziaul Hasan, Mostafizur Rahman, Jamal Uddin, member of Majlis-e-Shura of Jamaat Dhaka City North Dr. Shafiur Rhaman, Muhammad Ataur Rahman Sarkar, Dr. Saifuddin, president of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir Dhaka City North Jahangir Alam, president of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir Dhaka City West Sabbir bin Harun and others were present in the protest demonstration.
Selim Uddin said, “Ghadanic, a body of conspirators, has been making conspiracy for many years against the alem-ulemas. At present, the government without voting are patronizing them. From the continuity of that conspiracy, the world-renowned Islamic thinker former Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami martyred Maulana Matiur Rahman Nizami and famous Islamic commentator, former Nayeeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Allama Delwar Hossain Sayedee have been faced to trial in a false, fabricated and baseless allegation. If the alem-ulemas would have united in that time, then the alem-ulemas of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh had not been sent to jail. Similarly, the conspirators would not have dared to spoil the character of 116 Islamic preachers and scholars if the ulemas had formed an extreme form of movement to protest the oppression against Hefazat. Basically, due to the disunity of the Alem ulemas, the Ghadanis are repeatedly doing these under the patronage of the government. In this situation, if the alem-ulemas and the people of the country are not united, they have to face more critical period in the furure.”
“The Ghadanic have misused the term ‘Gono’ mass earlier. They have carried out killings, terrorism and anarchy across the country by forming so-called ‘People’s court’, ‘Mass Investigation Commission’ and ‘ Mass-upsurge stage’ in the past. But this type of aerial organizations had no relations with people in the past; not yet and will not be in the next. Legal authority is required in order to form a commission but there is no good answer as to who formed the so-called Gono commission. The white paper that has been published to spoil the character of the prominent citizens of the country by bypassing the conventional law, court, and the state constitution is not acceptable in any way. But through this, the functioning of the state has been questioned,” he added.
He urged all to be vigilant against those who divide the nation.
“There is no sector in our country where corruption and irregularities have become permanent. But bypassing these, the so-called Gono Commission has composed a speculative, fictitious story in the name of white paper against the alem-ulemas and the Islamic preachers. Though the General Secretary of the ruling party has admitted to money laundering by his party leaders, the so-called Gono Commission has not taken any action in this regard. Where is the scope of money laundering, militant financing of these Islamic speakers? What is the source of their income? No conscientious person believes that the total wealth of 116 alem-ulemas and Islamic preachers will be as much as the money laundering by a district level student leader,” he further added.
“Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik, controversial former Justice of the Appellate Division and Barrister Turin Afroz, an expelled prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal, are spreading misinformation against the country’s top alem-ulemas and Islamic preachers. There is no legal and moral basis of their allegation. But many serious allegations against justice Manik have been spread out in social media. On the other hand, Barrister Turin Afroz has been expelled from the International Crimes Tribunal for moral degradation. Even her mother has made many serious allegations against her in a press conference. But these persons have published the white paper against the best sons of the nation. They are trying to spoil the character of the Islamic preachers. The so-called Gono Commission has alleged that the Islamic Preachers and speakers are spreading misconception of Islam and religious hate speech. But the chairperson of the Gono Commission has said that none of the members of this Commission has a special knowledge in Islam. Then how did they understand that the Islamic preachers and speakers are spreading religious hate speech in country? Their mission is to spoil the character of the Islamic preachers,” he again added.
He again urged all to work together to make the people aware against these conspirators.
