Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working committee member and Dhaka city north unit’s nayeb-e-Ameer Abdur Rahman Musa stated, “Eid festival this year has been held comfortably as the country is free from fascism.”
He made the remarks while speaking at an Eid reunion and fellow responsible brother meeting as the chief guest organized by Jamaat Kafrul thana north in the capital today. Thana Ameer Rezaul Karim presided over the event.
Ramadan, the month of blessings, mercy and salvation from Hellfire has already gone to us. We have celebrated the Eid-ul-Fitr comfortably. Eid of this year was exceptional. The prices of daily essentials were controlled as govt. took necessary steps against hoarding. Political repression was absent this year, city nayeb-e-Ameer added.
He called on to all to color lives by the color of Ramadan.
The country has freed from fascism after making huge sacrifice. More than 2 thousand people embraced martyrdom to free the country. They sacrificed their lives with a view to eradicating discrimination from the country. The heroes of July revolution embraced martyrdom not only for holding an election. Election will be held after necessary reformation. The nation remains united on the issue of reform, he further added.
Reforming the state institutions, he urged to the interim government to immediately hand over power to people’s representatives.
Bangladesh Labor Welfare Federation’s central vice-president Lashkar Muhammad Taslim, Jamaat Dhaka city north unit’s assistant secretary Dr Fakharudin Manik were the special guests. Former thana Ameer Tarek Reza Tuhin, thana working committee members, ward presidents, secretaries among others were present here.
