Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working committee member and Dhaka city north unit’s secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim called on everyone to be united inspired by the spirit of the Battle of Badr.
Condoning all limits, plots and conspiracies, a strong form of movement should be built unitedly against injustice and untruth, city secretary urged.
He today evening made the remarks as the chief guest while speaking at an Iftar party and discussion meeting titled on the ‘Importance and significance of Battle of Badr’ at an auditorium in the capital. Jamaat Uttara thana east arranged the discussion meeting and Iftar mahfil.
Thana Ameer Mahfuzur Rahaman presided over the meeting while thana secretary Atique Hasan Rubel conducted it. Hundreds of Jamaat-Shibir men including Jahangir Hossain, Abdullah al-Muzahid were present.
The Battle of Badr was occurred in the 17th Ramadan of 624 hizri. That Battle was the foundation of Islam. Muslims emerged as an irresistible winning force by that Battle. Allah (SW) in the Holy Quran announced that the Battle had distinguished between the truth and falsehood. Allah made the Muslims victorious in the Battle of Badr, Rezaul Karim added.
Later, he quoted a verse from the holy Quran in where Allah said, “Indeed, Allah made you victorious at Badr when you were few in number. So be mindful of Allah, perhaps you will be grateful.”
The Battle of Badr is a source of inspiration for the monotheists, Rezaul Karim further added.
He urged everyone to be united to build a new Bangladesh free from discrimination, injustice and misrule.
Jamaat Tejgaon thana north arranged a discussion meeting and Iftar mahfil. Noman Uddin was the chair. Jamaat Dhaka city north unit’s media & publicity secretary Muhammad Ataur Rahman Sarker was the chief guest in the event. Thana Ameer Muhammad Ahasanullah Khan was the special guest. Thana secretary Rasibul Haque Nasim, Mohsin Khan, Mofazzal Hossain among others were present here.
