Bangladesh Jamaart-e-Islami central executive council member and Dhaka city north unit’s Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin called on everyone irrespective of party and thought to be united for building a new Bangladesh free from corruption, poverty, hunger and misrule inspired by the spirit of July-August revolution.
He today made these remarks as the chief guest while visiting the fire affected area of Mohakhali in the capital.
Jamaat Dhaka city north unit’s Ameer, at that time, inquired about the fire victims and talked with them. He listened the fire victims carefully and assured them all of possible assistance. City unit’s assistant secretary Yeasin Arafat, Banani thana Ameer Mizanur Rahman, secretary Abdullah Rafi among others were present here.
The gap between the rich and the poor will enhance as good governance is absent in the country. The discrimination will decrease if honest people govern the state according to the laws of Allah. If a just society is prevailed, there will be no slum area in the country within 5 years, Selim Uddin claimed.
If you give an opportunity to lead the state, we will provide you quality education, standard healthcare service, and build the city livable Insha-allah, added the Jamaat leader.
He urged everyone to be united under the banner of Jamaat for building a happy, prosperous and discrimination-free Bangladesh.
People consider Jamaat as a possible force for future. If people send us to the parliament, we will govern the country according to the rules of Quran and Sunnah. We will make the country as a welfare state. The state will fulfill the citizens fundamental needs. We will not tolerate corruption, irregularities, extortion, rape and other crimes, he further added.
The former rulers committed corruption as a result the country did not develop, alleged Selim Uddin.
Mentioning the outstanding contributions of former 2 ministers (Maulana Motiur Rahman Nizami and Ali Ahasan Muhammad Muzahid), city Ameer claimed, they did not commit corruption and any form of irregularities.
Jamaat is a pro-people and democratic political party. They have been working for the sake of humanity since its establishment. They always stand by people during crisis, he also claimed.
Jamaat leader also called upon the wealthy people of the society irrespective of party and thought to stand by fire victims to reduce the sufferings.
