Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman said, “Arrogance and fascism are not good for anyone in this world and in the Hereafter.”
We could not bid our loved ones good bye. Even, we could not pray for our beloved. A climate of fear was created in the country. We do not expect such type of culture anymore, Jamaat Ameer added.
He prayed the whole nation would take a lesson from that period and nobody will follow the path of the climate of fear.
He today morning made the remarks as the chief guest while addressing a memoir meeting and prayer program of Hafesa Asma Khatun, former MP and secretary of Jamaat’s women unit, at Al-falah auditorium in the capital’s Moghbazar.
Those who will not follow the will of Allah lead their life; Allah is very severe in punishment, he added.
Hafeza Asma Khatun was very sincere and devoted. She said and did what she believed. In the era in which she took the responsibility of the organization, was very difficult. She started the central organization with only 10 members but now the organization has 43 thousand members. There is no one in the organization who respects her, Shafiqur Rahman added in his memoir.
Good deeds make people memorable. She was an ideal mother too. She was an ideal lady. All members of her family are included in Islamic movement. It is rare, Jamaat leader further added.
Today’s speech is not only for party but also for the nation including journalists. We may take lesson from Hafesa Asma Khatun, he also added.
Mentioning to the family, Jamaat Ameer said, her family was oppressed. At the time of her death, her children were away. Shafiqur Rahman regretted that he could not join the janaja due to situation.
He prayed for the salvation of the departed soul of Hafeza Asma Khatun
The deceased’s elder son Niaz Makhdum presided over the memoir and prayer program while younger son Saifullah Mansur conducted it. Jamaat’s secretary general and former MP Mia Golum Parwer, central executive council member Saiful Alam Khan Milon, Jamaat Dhaka City South unit’s Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul central working committee member Jasim Uddin Sarker were the special guests.
