Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central executive council member and Dhaka City North unit’s Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin said, “Islamic scholars should be prepared to make any sacrifice in order to establish Islam.”
Jamaat has been working against all form of injustice, torture, oppression, and crimes against humanity of the society, in order to establish a modern state based on Islamic ideals, city Ameer further claimed.
He today made the remarks as the chief guest while addressing a ulema meeting at an auditorium in the capital’s Bhatara. Jamaat Bhatara thana arranged the ulema meeting. Thana Ameer advocate Rezaul Karim presided over the meeting while secretary Ahammad Salman conducted it. Jamaat Dhaka City North unit’s assistant secretary Nazim Uddin Mollah and Gulshan thana Ameer Zillur Rahman spoke as the special guests.
The state should be governed according to the rules of Islam if we want to build Bangladesh a discrimination-free country, Selim Uddin added.
No ideology is accepted but Islam. If Jamaat comes to power, they govern the state according to Quran and Sunnah. We will also follow the rules of Quran and Sunnah, Selim Uddin also added.
