Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman said, Awami League could not change their character, even they are spreading fake information staying abroad.
Shafiqur Rahman demanded, student-people mass movement freed the country from Awami League’s fascism. He prayed to Almighty Allah for acceptance the status of martyrs, who had sacrificed their lives from 28 October 2006 to 5 August 2024 to free the country from Awami League’s occupation. Jamaat Ameer also conveyed sympathy to the injured and prayed to Allah for their speedy recovery.
He today made the remarks as the chief guest while addressing a Sudi (well-wishers) meeting at an auditorium in the capital’s Kafrul. Kafrul thana of Jamaat Dhaka City North unit arranged the meeting. Thana Ameer Professor Anwarul Karim presided over the meeting while secretary Abu Nahid conducted it. Jamaat’ central executive council member and Dhaka City North Unit’s Ameer Mohammed Selim Uddin and assistant secretary Dr Fakharuddin Manik spoke as the special guests. City working committee member Muhammad Shahidullah, Sha Alam Tuhin Shura member Dr Moin Uddin among others were present.
Awami League had established a reign of terror during last 15 years in the country. But student-people mass uprising ousted them and went their plots into vain. Awami League killed people at broad daylight in 2006. They murdered 57 brilliant army officers in 2009, Jamaat Ameer allged.
Jamaat top leaders were the victims of judicial killings. Awami League conducted oppression on alem-ulemas during their regime, he further alleged.
Dr Shafiqur Rahman recalled the valiant martyrs with respect of anti-discrimination student movement and demanded to the government to announce the valiant martyrs as national heroes.
Jamaat Ameer called upon everyone to be united under the banner of Jamaat.
The nation is united today to build a fascism, autocracy-free country, Selim Uddin added as the special guest. He urged everyone to be patient. Otherwise, the fascists will be active.
