Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working committee member and Dhaka City North unit’s secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim said, the root of Islam in Bangladesh is very deep.
Jamaat has been working to build a Bangladesh free from discrimination, hunger, poverty and misrule based on Islamic ideal, he claimed.
He yesterday evening made the remarks as the chief guest while speaking a ward-level rally at an auditorium in the capital’s Mohammadpur. Jamaat Mohammadpur Maddha thana arranged the rally. Unit president Sayedul Bashar Mutaleb presided over the rally while office secretary Selim Sardar conducted it. Mohammadpur Maddha thana Ameer Moshiur Rahman and secretary Emran Ali were the special guests.
Fascist Awami League deprived people last 15 years from their fundamental rights. They conducted oppression on Islamic scholars, city secretary alleged.
He urged everyone to remain united to face plots and conspiracies made by fascists against the country and the nation.
Awami League is a fascist party. They killed people with oars and sticks at braod day light in 2006. They also killed 57 army officials in 2009, he further alleged.
Awami League engaged in money laundering and destroyed economy of the country, he added.
He further called upon everyone to remain vigilant against anti-state activities committed by fallen dictator.
