Sarder Nurul Haque, veteran member of Hatirjheel thana east of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka north city unit, passed away at capital’s Ibne Sina Medical College & Hospital at 5:00pm on Tuesday while undergoing treatment (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun). He had been suffering from various physical complications including gallbladder cancer for a long time. He was 79. He left behind his wife, 4 sons, 2 daughters, and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn. His village home is in Uzirpur upazilla of Barisal district.
His namaj-e-janaja was held at Nayatola Kamil Madrasa at 10:30am today. Jamaat’s central executive council member and Dhaka north city unit’s Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin led the janaja. Hundreds of people including Jamaat Dhaka north city unit’s secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim, central Mojlish-e-Shura member Hemayet Hossain, media & publicity secretary Muhammad Ataur Rahman Sarker, thana Ameer advocate Sheikh Zillur Rahman Azmi, Hatirjheel thana west Ameer Yousuf Ali Mollah, Hatirjheel thana east secretary Khandakar Ruhul Ameen, Nayatola Kamil Madrasha principal Rezaul Karim, Farukh Ahammad joined the janaja.
Then, the deceased was brought to Uzirpur upazilla of Barisal district and cremated at their family graveyard after the second janaja.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central executive council member and Dhaka north city unit’s Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin and secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Sarder Nurul Haque.
“Sarder Nurul Haque was a frontline activist of Islamic movement. He was a sincere and dedicated soul to establish Islam. We lost a guardian at his death,” they said these at a condolence message.
City leaders prayed to the court of Almighty Allah for eternal peace of the departed soul. They also conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family. \
