Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman urged all to be united for the sake of the country and the nation. He emphasised that the politics of division should be buried.
Jamaat Ameer claimed, ‘Their organization does not support the politics of division and hatred. It has been working for the sake of humanity, and for the establishment of human rights since its establishment.’
He today morning made the remarks while sharing views with eminent citizens at a restaurant in the capital’s Kafrul.
Jamaat Dhaka north city unit arranged the view-exchange meeting.
Mohammad Selim Uddin, member of Jamaat central executive council, and Ameer of Dhaka north city unit, presided over the meeting.
Abdur Rahman Musa, member of central working committee and Dhaka north city unit’s nayeb-e-Ameer, spoke as the special guest. Central mojlish-e-shura member Lashkar Muhammad Taslim, Dr Fakharuddin Manik, Muhammad Shahidullah, Sha Alam Tuhin, Professor Anwarul Karim, Abdul Matin among others were present.
We want to ensure people’s dignity. We do not want to divide the nation on the basis of religion, thought and party, he stated.
Shafiqur Rahman called for the national unity for greater interest.
‘Jamaat’s activists have been working relentlessly for the welfare of people. They are uncompromised in alleviating human sufferings and miseries,’ he further claimed.
Jamaat Ameer called upon everyone to remain united to make the August Revolution a success.
