Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka North City unit’s Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin and secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Ruhul Ameen Gazi, a freedom fighter, president of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists-BFUJ, chief reporter of Daily Sangram.
In the message of condolence, these two Jamaat leaders stated, “He was a star in the field of journalism. He also had many achievements as a journalist leader. He played a significant role in all democratic movements in the country. He was an anti-fascist fighter. He had been imprisoned for a long time by autocrat Awami League government. After all, he was a Hero, a freedom fighter. We lost a sincere, briliant, wise, and patriotic media worker at his death.”
His namaj-e-janaja will be held at the premises of National Press Club at 1:30pm tomorrow.
They prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
