Ruhul Ameen, veteran member of Mohammadpur thana west of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka north city, passed away at the capital’s Ibne-Sina Hospital at 9:am yesterday while undergoing treatment. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun. He had been suffering from various physical complications including cardiovascular disease for a long time. He was 74. He left behind a son, 3 daughters, and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn. His namaj-e-janaja was held after Asr prayer. He was cremated at Martyred Intellectuals Graveyard. Hundreds of common people including Jamaat-Shibir men joined the janaja.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s central executive council member and Dhaka North City unit’s Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin, and secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Ruhul Ameen.
Expressing condolence at the death of Ruhul Ameen, the city leaders said, “He was a frontline activist of Islamic movement. He was a sincere and dedicated soul to establish Islam. We lost a brother at his death.”
They prayed to the court of Almighty Allah for eternal peace of the departed soul. They also conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.
