Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s assistant secretary Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan said, “Opening fire on peaceful protests of Anti-discrimination students’ movement, Awami fascists wanted to stop the mass uprising but students-people’s unity failed autocrats’ evil plan and put an end the repression of Awami League-led government.”
He today said these as the chief guest while speaking at a ward responsible brother meeting in the conference room of The Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh. Jamaat Dhaka north city arranged the meeting. Jamaat’s central executive council member and Dhaka north city unit’s Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin presided over the meeting. Central working committee member and Dhaka north city unit’s secretary Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim conducted it. Jamaat’s assistant secretary general Maulana Abdul Halim spoke as the special guest. Jamaat’s Dhaka north city nayeb-e-Ameer Abdur Rahaman Musa, central Mojlish-e-shura member and nayeb-e-Ameer engineer Golum Mustafa, central Mojlish-e-shura member and Dhaka north city’s assistant secretary Mahfuzur Rahman, Nazim Uddin Mollah, Dr. Fakharuddin Manik, Shibir’s Dhaka city west unit’s president Salahuddin, Jamaat Dhaka north city unit’s working committee members among others were present.
“The national election of 2008 was rigged and compromising. It was also a fraud election. Later, Awami League held a one-sided election in 2014, a rigged election in 2018 and a dummy election in 2024. They failed to give us a good governance. They conducted an extreme form of oppressions and repressions on people of the country,” he further added.
He called upon all to remain united in the face of fallen autocrats.
“The theme of the students-led mass movement was to establish justice. So, we have to ensure justice. There is no scope to cause othering in the country,” added Maulana Abdul Halim.
“Martyrs are our national heroes. We must honor them properly. We have to stand by members of martyred and injured families,” Mohammad Selim Uddin added as the chair.
