Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central executive council member and Dhaka City North unit’s Ameer Mohammad Selim said, the new generation has put an end the reign of autocrats sacrificing valuable blood.
Urging to the interim government, he said, perpetrators must be brought to justice immediately. The city leader also called upon to the government to announce the martyrs of July-August massacre as heroes.
He today said these as the chief guest while sharing his views with labor leaders in the capital’s Mohammadpur. Labor Welfare Federation Mohammadpur zone arranged the meeting. Mohammadpur zone labor leader Mizanul Haque presided over the meeting. Mohammadpur zone assistant secretary of Labor Welfare Federation Bangladesh Mustaque Ahammad conducted it. Labor Welfare Federation’s central secretary advocate Atiqur Rahman was the key speaker. Labor Welfare Federation Dhaka City North unit’s president Maulana Muhibullah was the special speaker. Ziaul Hasan, secretary H M Atiqur Rahman among others were present.
Awami League had been misruling the country in the last 16 years. They were involved in extra-judicial killings, judicial killings, enforced disappearances, abduction and assassination. They made the country a mafia state, Selim Uddin added.
“We have stood by victims of Shaheed and injured families. We are making a list of martyrs,” city Ameer further added.
Jamaat also held a meeting with eminent citizens in the capital’s Mirpur. Many prominent persons were present on the meeting.
