Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working committee member and Dhaka City North unit’s secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim met family members of Shaheed (martyred) Hafez Mutakim Billah, Shaheed Abdullah Kabir, Shaheed Kabir Hossain, Shaheed Tahmid, Shaheed Ritar, who were killed by police, Jubo League, Chhatra League men during Anti-Discrimination Students’ Movement. The Jamaat leader talked to them for some times, listened to them, and assured them all possible cooperation.
The city secretary conveyed condolence and sympathy to the bereaved family members. He also prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls.
Rezaul Karim on behalf of city Jamaat provided financial help to Shaheed family members.
Jamaat central Mojlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka City North unit’s assistant secretary Mahfuzur Rahman, Mirpur thana west Ameer Hekim Abdul Mannan, nayeb-e-Ameer Tazerul Islam, thana working committee member Muhammad Ali, and others were present.
“The martyrs are our national heroes. We were able to oust the fascists for their sacrifice,” he added.
He remembered the martyrs with respect.
