Engineer Abul Kashem, veteran member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North of Mirpur thana north unit, passed away at 12:oopm on June 28 at a private hospital in the capital while undergoing treatment (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun). He was suffering from various physical complications for a long time including old-age-disease. He was 78. He left behind a son, 3 daughters, and a host of relatives and admirers. He was very dedicated and obedient to organization. His home district is Gokulkhali village of Sadar upazila of Chuadanga district. He was a former service holder of BTCL.
His namaj-e-janaja was held at Mirpur Rainkhola Jame Mosjid after Zohor prayer. He was cremated at Shahid Buddhijibi Graveyard, Mirpur. Hundreds of people including Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working committee member and Dhaka City North unit’s nayeb-e-Ameer Abdur Rahman Musa, central Mojlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka City North unit’s assistant secretary Mahfuzur Rahman, Jamaat Dhaka City North unit’s Mojlish-e-Shura member Monirul Islam Mridha, Liakot Ali, Hekim Abdul Mannan, Rafiqul Islam Rimon joined the janaja.
Condolence message
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central executive council member and Dhaka City North unit’s Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin and secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of engineer Abul Kashem.
“Engineer Abul Kashem was a frontline activist of Islamic movement. He was a sincere and dedicated soul to establish Islam. He served the country with honesty and integrity. We lost a guardian at his death,” they said these at a condolence message.
City leaders prayed to the court of Almighty Allah for eternal peace of the departed soul. They also conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.
