A S M Abu Taleb, father of Jamaat Kafrul thana south Ameer professor Anuarul Karim, passed away at 1:30pm today at his home of Faridganj upazila of Chandpur district while undergoing treatment (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun). He was suffering from various physical complications including old-age-disease for a long time. He was 83. He left behind his wife, 5 sons, 2 daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers.
His namaj-e-janaja was held at his home village of Faridganj upazila of Chandpur district at 9:00pm today. He was cremated at their family graveyard. Hundreds of people including Jamaat-shibir men joined the janaja (funeral prayer).
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central executive member and Dhaka City North unit’s Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin and secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of A S M Abu Taleb.
“He was a frontline activist of Islamic movement. He was a dedicated and sincere soul to establish Islam. We lost a sincere and dedicated soul at his death,” the city leaders added.
City leaders prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul. They also conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
