Jamaat Turag Modda Thana unit nayeb-e-Ameer and former Shibir central publicity secretary Kamrul Hasan’s father Abul Kashem Miazi passed away at a hospital of Shafipur of Gazipur district at 6:00am today while undergoing treatment (Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun). He was suffering from various physical complications including old-age- diseases for a long time. He was 88. He left 4 sons, 2 daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers. His village home was Ulania village of Mehendiganj upazila of Barishal district.
His namaj-e-janaja (funeral prayer) was held at Lashkarchala graveyard ground of Shafipur of Gazipur district. Then, he was cremated here. Hundreds of people including Jamaat central Mojlish-e-Shura member and Gulshan zone director Yeasin Arafat, Uttara west zone assistant Mahbubul Haque, Turag Modda thana secretary Muhibullah Bacchu joined the janaja (funeral prayer).
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central executive member and Dhaka City North unit’s Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin and secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Abul Kashem Miazi.
“He was a frontline activist of Islamic movement. He was a dedicated and sincere soul to establish Islam. We lost a sincere and dedicated soul,” the city leaders added.
City leaders prayed to the court of Almighty Allah for eternal peace of the departed soul. They also conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.
