Fatema Akter, Veterian member (Rokon) of Mohammadpur thana east female unit of Jamaat Dhaka City North, passed away at a private hospital in Dhaka on May 13 while undergoing treatment (Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun). She was suffering from various physical complications for a long time. She was 70. She left a son and a host of relatives and well-wishers. Her home district was Chandpur.
Her namaz-e-janaza (funeral prayer) was held at her home village after johor prayer. Then, she was buried at their family graveyard. Hundreds of people of different profession including Jamaat-Shibir men joined the namaj-e-janaja.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central executive member and Dhaka City North unit’s Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin and secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Fatema Akter.
“She was a frontline activist of Islamic movement. She was a dedicated and sincere soul to establish Islam. We lost a sincere and dedicated soul,” the city leaders added.
City leaders prayed to the court of Almighty Allah for eternal peace of the departed soul. They also conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.
