Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working committee member and Dhaka City North unit’s secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim urged the wealthy people of the society to come forward to establish a country free from hunger, poverty and discrimination based on Zakat.
He today said these as the chief guest while speaking at a Sudi meeting and iftar mahfil in an auditorium in the capital. Kafrul thana south of Jamaat Dhaka City North arranged the event. Thana Ameer Abu Tayob presided over the event. Thana secretary Mushab Muhaimin conducted it. Jamaat central Mojlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka City North unit’s assistant secretary Dr Fakharuddin Manik was the special guest.
“Ramadan is the month of acquiring self-purification and Taqwa. It is the month in which the holy Quran had been revealed. The battle of Badr was occurred in this month,” he added.
“The tyrant government has failed to protect the sanctity of this month. They could not control the price hike in Ramadan,” the city leader alleged.
“Fascism should be ousted for the sake of the country and the nation,” he added.
He called upon everyone to be united in the street to dethrone the undemocratic force.
“Jamaat is a pro-people, idealist and welfare political organization. Human service is one of the worships of Islam. Jamaat Dhaka City North unit has taken many steps the welfare of the poor, the widows, the divorcees. We have started Karje Hasana program,” dr Rezaul Karim further added.
