Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central executive council member and Dhaka City North unit’s Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin urged everyone irrespective of party and thought to be united to build a democratic and prosperous Bangladesh free from hunger, poverty and discrimination inspired by the spirit of great liberation war and independence.”
He today said these as the chair while speaking at a discussion meeting at an auditorium in the capital. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North unit arranged the discussion meeting as part of the central program on the occasion of great Independence and National Day. Jamaat central working committee member and Dhaka City North unit’s secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim conducted it. Jamaat central working committee member and Dhaka City North unit’s nayeb-e-Ameer Abdur Rahman Musa, central Mojlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka City North unit’s nayeb-e-Ameer engineer Golum Mustafa spoke in the discussion meeting.
“We fought for independence for securing equality, human dignity, fair democracy and social justice but in the post-liberation period, democratic and Islamic ideals was destroyed. The constitution of the country was not written according to the Quran and Hadith,” city Ameer added.
He remembers the martyred freedom fighters with deep respect and prays for them to the court of Allah.
“Man-made laws are never good for man. They make differences. They narrow human rights,” he alleged.
The Jamaat leader urged everyone to be united under the banner of Jamaat.
“Jamaat is the most successful political party. It has been working for the sake of humanity since its establishment. Jamaat has taken many programs for the sake of mass people,” he further added.
