Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working committee member and Dhaka City North unit’s nayeb-e-Ameer Abdur Rahman Musa said, “Ramadan is a month of blessings, mercy and redemption from Hellfire. We have come here with some gifts to stand with helpless people.”
He urged the wealthy people of the society to come forward to assist the marginalized people.
He today said these as the chief guest while speaking at an iftar item distribution event at an auditorium in the capital. Tejgaon thana south of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North unit arranged the event. Thana Ameer engineer Noman Ahamadi presided over the event. Jamaat central Mojlish-e-Shura member and Hatiejheel zone coordinator Hemayet Hossain, Jamaat Dhaka City North unit’s working committee member and media & publicity secretary Muhammad Ataur Rahman Sarker were the special guests. Dr Sayed Toufiqul Islam, thana working committee member Farid Ahammad Rubel, Ali Akbar Hossain were also present on the event.
“Human service is one of the basic duties of Islam. Prophet (saw) emphasized on human service. Jamaat Dhaka City North unit has taken various programs for poverty alleviation, human service, self-employment, expansion of religious and moral education, inculcation of values among children, social reform, welfare of widows and divorcees. We have started Korze Hasana program for human financial solvency,” he added.
