Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working committee member and Dhaka City North unit’s secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim urged everyone irrespective of party and thought to be united in the street against this undemocratic, autocratic and fascist government by the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan and the battle of Badr.
He today morning said these while speaking at a post-demonstration rally at Mirpur in the capital. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North unit arranged the protest demonstration demanding the preservation of sanctity of holy Ramadan stopping the obscene activities in the country and control of price hike of essentials. The protest demonstration was started from Mirpur-1 and ended with a short rally at Technical area in the capital. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central Mojlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka City North unit’s assistant secretary Mahfuzur Rahman, Nazim Uddin Mollah, Dr Fakharuddin Manik, central Mohlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka City North unit’s working committee member Ziaul Hasan, Yeasin Arafat, Maulana Mohibullah, Muhammad Jamal Uddin, Jamaat Dhaka City North unit’s working committee member Ataur Rhaman Sarker, Nasir Uddin, student leader Salah Uddin, Asaduzzaman and others were present on the demonstration.
“The holy month of Ramadan is the month of blessings. The Holy Quran as a charter of emancipation of world community has been reveled in this moth. Not only the Muslims but also the followers of other religions honor the month,” he added.
“The less-voter government in a planned way has increased the prices of daily essentials. 96% people have no confidence to this government,” the Jamaat leader alleged.
He demanded the immediate resignation of the government.
“The government has made the country a reign of crimes and terrors. They have made the universities a concentration camp. They have unjustly detained Jamaat Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman, ATM Azharul Islam and other Islamic scholars,” he further alleged.
He demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all political detainees including Jamaat Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman.
Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim urged the UN, OIC, heads of Muslim states, Muslim leaders, humanitarian organizations of the globe to stand with Palestinians. He further asked the Muslims to be united to stop the genocide in Gaza.
