Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working committee member and Dhaka City North unit’s secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim alleged that the nation had been deprived of the benefits of independence due to the autocratic mindset of the government.
He urged everyone to remain uncompromising in the street to establish people’s government instead of mafia rule.
He today said these as a chief guest while speaking at an annual member meeting in an auditorium of the capital. Sher-e-Bangla Nagar thana of Jamaat Dhaka City North arranged the meeting. Jamaat Dhaka City North unit’s Mojlish-e-Shura member and thana Ameer Abdul Awal Azam presided over the meeting. Thana secretary advocate Abdul Halim conducted it. Jamaat central Mojlish-e-Shura member and zone director Ziaul Hasan was the special guest. Thana Nayeb-e-Ameer Shah Azizur Rahman Tarun, finance secretary Humayun Kabir, thana working committee member Hafez Saiful Islam Sharif, Hafiz Shajahan, Monjurul Islam, engineer Iftekhar Sujon, advocate Tauhidur Rahman and many others were present on the meeting.
“Awami League has destroyed democracy and democratic institutions of the country. The Election Commission has been turned as a farcical institution,” the Jamaat leader alleged.
‘Jamaat is a pro-people, idealist, welfare and democratic political organization. They have been working for the sake of people since its establishment,’ Dr Rezaul Karim added.
