Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working committee member and Dhaka City North unit’s secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim warned, “Awami League cannot save themselves by firing to people. People will oust Hasina by forming a strong form of movement.”
He claimed that people had rejected this voter-less government.
He today morning said these while speaking at the post-demonstration rally at Mirpur area in the capital. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North unit brought out a protest demonstration at Mirpur in the capital as part of the central program demanding immediate control of the price hike of essential commodities, for taking effective measures to reduce gas and power crisis and simultaneously urging to declare a new date for holding a fresh election under a caretaker government. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working committee member and Dhaka City North unit’s secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim led the demonstration.
Jamaat central Mojlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka City North unit’s assistant secretary Mahfuzur Rahman, Nazim Uddin Mollah, Dr Fakharuddin Manik, central Mojlish-e-Shura member Ziaul Hasan, Maulana Muhibullah, Jamal Uddin, Jamaat Dhaka City North unit’s working committee member Muhammad Ataur Rahman Sarker, student leader Salahuddin, Asaduzzaman and others were present on the demonstration.
Police attacked the procession and arrested 5 Jamaat activists.
“Only 4% voter casted their votes. 96% voter rejected Awami League. Many candidates claimed that they were the candidates of India. This government does not represent people.,” the Jamaat leader claimed.
He urged everyone to form a strong form of movement to oust this autocratic government.
“The government has failed to conduct the country. Inflation has been increased due to government’ mismanagement. The gas and power crisis has become severe,” he further alleged.
“The government has unjustly detained Jamaat Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman, secretary general Mia Golum Parwer, assistant secretary general ATM Azharul Islam, Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Dhaka City North unit’s Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin,” Mr M R Karim again alleged.
He demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all party leaders and activists. Otherwise, Hasina has to face a brutal end.
