Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami assistant secretary general Maulana Abdul Halim said, “Violating voting and foods’ rights, the government has turned the country into an autocratic and mafia state. All should be played an important role to restore democracy, religious values and human rights in the country.”
He urged everyone to form a greater unity to dethrone this fascist government.
He today said these as the chief guest while speaking at a fellow brother meeting at an auditorium in the capital. Uttara thana west of Jamaat Dhaka City Noth arranged the meeting. Thana Ameer Muhammad Majharul Islam presided over the meeting. Jamaat central working committee member and Dhaka City North unit’s secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim was the special guest. Thana working committee members, ward presidents and secretaries and others were also present on the meeting.
“The government has failed to govern the country. They did not present good governance. The inflation has crossed its limit. National economy has fallen down. The did not take any necessary step to solve people’s problems,” the Jamaat leader alleged.
“Awami League has occupied power through a dummy election,” he further alleged.
He further urged the activists of Islamic movement to send messages of Islam to every house.
He called upon all to be united in the street.
“The government has destroyed democracy and democratic institutions in the country to prolong its illegal power. They are engaged in human rights abuses,” Dr Rezaul Karim alleged.
He urged the government to announce re-election schedule dissolving the current parliament.
