Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North unit’s activists brought out processions, held short rallies in the capital supporting the ongoing 48- hour countrywide hartal. Rejecting the staged farcical 12th January national parliamentary election and urging the voters to refrain from assisting government in casting votes, Jamaat on Thursday called a nationwide 48- hour hartal.
Jamaat leaders urged everyone to refrain from assisting government in casting votes to reject the managed, staged and fraud election. They demanded the cancellation of election schedule, the formation of caretaker government system.
Jamaat leaders called upon the countrymen to make the hartal program a success. They demanded, the country’s people have rejected the sham vote election.
“If the farcical election is not resisted, the country will turn into a mafia state,” they added.
“People have said ‘no’ the one-sided farcical election of the government. The voters of the country will not cast their votes. They will not go to the polling stations. The election was not inclusive and participatory,” they claimed.
They urged the country’s people to boycott the farcical election.
