Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working committee member and Dhaka City North unit’s secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim said, “People’s government will be established for holding a free, fair, credible, inclusive and participatory election under a caretaker government, In-sha-Allah.”
He urged the voters to refrain from casting votes to resist the upcoming one-sided, staged and managed election.
He today morning said these distributing leaflets among people and conducting mass contact program at Uttara Azampur area in the capital. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North unit is observing the leaflet distribution and mass contact program as part of the central program demanding the restoration of caretaker government system, cancellation of Awami League’s subservient election schedule. They are also urging the voters to refrain from casting votes in the upcoming farcical polls.

‘People have rejected the staged election with hate. They have shown the government a red card,’ the Jamaat leader demanded.
‘If this illegal is held, many stakeholders may impose trade embargo on Bangladesh,’ he warned.
‘Many candidates claimed that they had been the candidates of India. It is a clear sedition,’ he added.
‘The Awami League government has violated human rights. They are operating the countrywide crackdown against the opposition party members and supporters including Jamaat. Thay have unjustly detained the top Jamaat leaders,’ M R Karim alleged.
He demanded the immediate and unconditional release of party leaders and activists including Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman.
Jamaat Dhaka City North unit’s activists distributed leaflets and conducted the mass contact program across Dhaka city.
