Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central Mojlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka City North unit’s assistant secretary Dr. Fakharuddin Manik said, “Government’s autocratic attitude has caused an unrest situation in the country.”
“They are spoiling the spirit of democracy through vote rigging,” the Jamaat leader alleged.
He urged the countrymen to refrain voters from assisting government in casting votes.
He today said these while distributing leaflets and conducting mass contact program at Mirpur area in the capital. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North unit is distributing leaflets and conducting mass contact program as part of the central program. Boycotting the farcical election of fascist Awami League and to restore the lost democracy in the country, Jamaat announced a countrywide three-day leaflet distribution and mass contact program to refrain voters from assisting government in casting votes.
Jamaat Kafrul thana secretary Hafeez A Rahman, thana working committee member Abdullah, Rafiqul Islam, Abdur Razzak Mizan and others were present on the occasion.
“Awami League and democracy are opponents. They were never democratic. They are autocrats and fascists,” Manik further alleged.
He demanded the cancellation of Awami League subservient election schedule, resignation of fascist government, formation of caretaker government.
Jamaat Dhaka City North unit’s activists distributed leaflets and conducted mass contact program in many parts of the capital.
