Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central Mojlish-e-Shura member and assistant secretary of Dhaka City North unit Dr. Fakharuddin Manik alleged, “The government has destroyed democracy and democratic institutions of the country. They have established fascism in the country.”
“It is not a state now; it is a mafia state,” he further alleged.
The Jamaat leader urged the countrymen to join the ongoing anti-fascism resistance movement.
He today said these while distributing leaflets and observing mass contact program at Kazipara area of Mirpur in the capital. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North unit is distributing leaflets and observing mass contact program as part of the central program. Boycotting the farcical election of fascist Awami League and to restore the lost democracy in the country, Jamaat announced a countrywide three-day leaflet distribution and mass contact program to refrain voters from assisting government in casting votes.
Jamaat Dhaka City North unit Mojlish-e-Shura member Abdul Matin Khan, Jamaat leader Atique Hasan, Nesar Uddin Abu Ayman, Abul Hasem, Gias Uddin, Abu Naser and others were also present on the event.
“The government is making different plots and misusing the state apparatus to cling power. They are repressing the democracy-lover-people of the country,” he also alleged.
Mr. Manik urged the government to immediately hadnd over power to a caretaker government. He also demanded the resignation of fascist Hasina.
Jamaat activist distributed leaflets in many parts of capital.
