Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working committee member and secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim warned the government that Jamaat’s registration should immediately be taken back otherwise the consequences will be dire.
He today morning said these while addressing at a post-protest march rally in Mirpur area of the capital. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North arranged the protest march protesting the SC’s unjust verdict that had cancelled Jamaat registration and demanding its immediate reinstatement. The protest march started from Mirpur-1 and ended in Technical with a short rally.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central Mojlish-e-Shura member and assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North Mahfuzur Rahman, Nazim Udddin Mollah, Fakharuddin Manik, Jamaat Dhaka City North working committee member Maulana Muhibullah, Jamal Uddin, Muhammad Ataur Rahman Sarker, Nasir Uddin, student leader Asaduzzaman, Abdur Rahim, Salah Uddin and many others were also present on the protest march.
‘The Mafia government had cancelled Jamaat’s registration by an unjust verdict. People have rejected this unjust verdict. Jamaat took part in all parliamentary elections after liberation of Bangladesh. They had representatives in the parliament,’ city secretary added.
Addressing Awami League as Murderers, he said Awami government had killed hundreds of civilians in apparent extrajudicial killings. They are engaged in enforced disappearances. They rigged votes. They have violated laws, constitution and human rights. They laundered millions of dollars in abroad. They had cancelled Jamaat’s registration for clinging their illegal power but people will not accept these.
‘People demand the restoration of caretaker government,’ This Jamaat leader further added.
Rezaul Karim urged everyone to boldly observe the upcoming political program.
‘The government has detained Jamaat top leaders including Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and city Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin for only political purpose,’ Rezaul Karim again added.
He demanded the immediate resignation of the fascist government and unconditional release of all party leaders and activists including Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman.
