Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central Mojlish-e-Shura member and assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North Mahfuzur Rahman said, “Awami League’s subservient Election Commission had announced the schedule to stage a one-sided election. This fraud election schedule should be withdrawn immediately. The anti-people government must be resigned.”
He today said these while speaking at a post-procession rally in Mirpur of the capital. Mirpur zone of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City Noth brought out a procession supporting the ongoing strike across the country. The procession started from Mirpur-2 Bus stand area and ended at Mosque Market with a short rally. Jamaat Dhaka City North Mojlish-e-Shyra member Nakib Ferdous, M Islam Mrida, Gazi Hafeez, Rimon Tamal, Jamaal Uddin, student leader Imran Hasan and many others were also present on the procession.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is observing a 48-hour hartal across the country for November 19 and November 20 to press home their one-point demand and protesting at announcement of next general election schedule by the Election Commission.
“Awami Leage has destroyed democracy and democratic institutions of the country. They turned the into a mafia state. They have created an unrest situation in the country,” he added.
Mahfuzur Rahman urged the government to come back to democratic process.
