Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central Mojlish-e-Shura member and assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North Mahfuzur Rahman said, “The Election Commission has to take the responsibility if one-sided election schedule is pronounced.”
He urged the election commission to remain from the one-sided election schedule announcement.
He today said these while speaking at a post-procession rally in Mirpur of capital. Jamaat Dhaka City North activists brought out a procession supporting the ongoing blockade program. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is observing a countrywide 2-day blockade program on vehicle movement on road, rail and waterway across the country to press home the demands for establishing caretaker government system, release of its leaders, activists and religious scholars including Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, protesting police action in the grand rally on October 28, violence and mayhem of the ruling party goons, control of price hike of essentials.
The procession was started from Mirpur-2 complex mosque. It moved various important roads of the city. The procession was ended at Zoo road with a short rally. Jamaat Dhaka City North Mojlish-e-Shura member Mohammad Nakib, Rimon Tamal, Jamal Uddin, student leader Imran, Asad, Fahad and others were also present on the procession.
“Government has created an unrest situation in the country. They are not paying heed to any stakeholders international communities and NGOs. They in a planned way have destroyed democracy and democratic institutions of the country,” added Mahfuzur Rahman.
He urged the government to hand over power to caretaker government.
Jamaat Kafrul thana activists of Dhaka City North brought out a procession supporting the 4th phase blockade program. Jamaat Dhaka City North assistant secretary Dr. Fakharuddin Manik led the procession. Jamaat Dhaka City North working committee member Tutul, Alauddin Mollah, Shibir Dhaka City West secretary Salauddin Mahmud, labor leader Mizanur Rahman, Abdul Matin Khan, Anwarul Karim, Ahasan Habib, Atique Hasan, Mushab Muhaimin, Ashique, Ali Hasan, Ashiqur Rahman and others were also present on the procession.
Jamaat activists blocked on vehicle movement on roads at Farmgate area of the capital. Jamaat Dhaka City North Media & Publicity Secretary Muhammad Ataur Rahman Sarker led the procession. Jamaat Dhaka City North Mojlish-e-Shura member Aminul Islam, Noman Ahamadi, former Shibir publication secretary Kalim Ullah, student leader Murshadul Islam, Nazim Uddin and others were also present on the procession.
Jamaat activists of Uttaara thana observed the blockade program at Uttara area of the capital. Jamaat Dhaka City North Mojlish-e-Shura member M A Rahman led the procession. Jamaat Uttara Thana Ameer, Jamaat Turag Thana Ameer, Nayeb-e-Ameer, secretary and others were also present on the procession.

Jamaat activists brought out a procession at Rampura area of the capital. They demanded the immediate release of party Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Raman, the formation of election-time caretaker government, control of price hike of essentials.
Jamaat activists observed the countrywide 2-day blockade program at Mohammadpur area of the capital. Mohammadpur thana west Ameer Rabiul Islam Rubel led the procession.
