Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working committee member and acting Ameer of Jamaat Dhaka City North Abdur Rahman Musa and secretary Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim appreciated the city dwellers for making 2-day long blockade program successful. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami called a countrywide 2-day blockade program on vehicle movement on road, rail and waterway to press home the demands for establishing caretaker government system, release of its leaders, activists and religious scholars including Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, protesting police action in the grand rally on October 28, violence and mayhem of the ruling party goons, control of price hike of essentials.
“The fascist government has often declared a war against the people of the country to suppress the ongoing mass movement. They arrested 9 Jamaat leaders and activists from Jamaat Dhaka City North area. They filed 40 new fictitious and false cases against Jamaat leaders and activists. The law enforcers held 152 Jamaat men from 25 October to 9 November,” city leaders said these in a statement.
They demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all party leaders and activists including Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman.
They appreciated the city dwellers for making the 2-day long blockade program across the country. They urged the government to immediately resign.
