Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central Mojlish-e-Shura member and assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North Mahfuzur Rahman Said, “People are working together to press home the demands for the resignation of the incumbent fascist government, the restoration of caretaker government. They will not leave the streets until the demands are met.”
He today said these while speaking at a post-procession rally in Mirpur in the capital. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is observing a countrywide 2-day blockade program on vehicle movement on road, rail and waterway across the country to press home the demands for establishing caretaker government system, release of its leaders, activists and religious scholars including Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, protesting police action in the grand rally on October 28, violence and mayhem of the ruling party goons, control of price hike of essentials.
Abu Nakib, member of Mojlish-e-Shura of Jamaat Dhaka City North, advocate Abdul Hamid, Habibullah Rumi, advocate Abdur Rakib, Rimon Tomal, Gazi Mohammad Hafiz, Shajalal, Jamal Uddin, student leader Asaduzzaman, Tanvir, Moudud Ahammad and others were also present on the procession.
“Fearing the ongoing extreme form of movement, the midnight election government is misleading the nation. They do not try to understand the pulse of people. They want to hold a farcical one-sided election like 2014 and 2018 again. The price hike of daily essentials is increasing day by day. They have unjustly imprisoned Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. The government is conducting repression nationwide,” Mahfuzur Rahman added.
Mahfuzur Rahman demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all party leaders, activists, Islamic scholars including Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman.

Jamaat activists blocked on vehicle movement in Agargaon. They brought out a procession supporting the ongoing blockade program. Jamaat Dhaka City Noth assistant secretary Dr. Fakharuddin Manik led the procession. Later, police dispersed them and arrested 3 Jamaat men unjustly.
