Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central Mojlish-e-Shura member and assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North Mahfuzur Rahman said, “People will not leave the streets until the caretaker government is not established.”
Mahfuzur Rahman today said these while speaking at a post-procession rally in Mirpur. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is observing a countrywide three-day blockade program on vehicle movement on road, rail and waterway across the country to press home the demands for establishing caretaker government system, release of its leaders, activists and religious scholars including Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, protesting police action in the grand rally on October 28, violence and mayhem of the ruling party goons, control of price hike of essentials. The complete blockade program has started from October 31 and will continue to November 2.
Jamaat Dhaka City North Mojlish-e-Shura member Abu Nakib, advocate Abdur Rakib, Rimon Tamal, student leader Asaduzzaman Shamim, Shakil and others were also present on the procession.
“Government has totally failed to lead the country. The law and order situation has terribly been deteriorated across the country. The government could not ensure public security. Awami thugs and party police have killed 3 opposition party activists,” added Mahfuzur Rahman.
He urged the government to immediately resign and hand over power to caretaker government.
Mahfuzur Rahman demanded the immediate and unconditional release of Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman.
Jamaat observed the blockade program in Badda. Jamaat Dhaka City North assistant secretary Nazimuddin Mollah led the program. Kutub Uddin, member of Mojlish-e-Shura of Jamaat Dhaka City North, Rezaul Karim, Abul Bashar, Abdus Sabur and many others were also present on the program.
Blockade program in Mirpur

Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir Dhaka City west secretary Salauddin Ahammed, Jamaat Dhaka City North working committee member and Mirpur east thana Ameer Tutul, Kafrul thana north Ameer Rezaul Karim, Bhasantek thana Ameer Dr. Ahasan Habib, Kafrul thana west secretary Atique Hasan, Kafrul thana south secretary Mushab Muhaimin, Golum Rabbani, Nurul Ameen, Anis, Parash, and many others were also present on the program.
Jamaat observed the blockade program in Kawran Bazar. Jamaat Hatirjheel-Tejgaon zone observed the program. Jamaat Dhaka City North publicity and media secretary Ataur Rahman Sarker led the procession. Jamaat Dhaka City North Mojlish-e-Shura member Aminul Islam, advocate Zillur Rahman, Noman Ahamadi, Ahasan Ullah, labor leader Sultan Mahmud, student leader Tanbir, Fazlur Rahman and many others were also present on the program.
Jamaat activists observed the blockade program in Mirpur 11. Jamaat Dhaka City North working committee member Nasir Uddin led the procession. Pallabi thana north Ameer Saiful Islam, Runagar thana Ameer Abu Hanif, Jamaat leader Hasanul Banna Chapal, Rupnagar thana secretary Mohammad Musharaf Hossain, Pallabi Modda thana secretary Zubayer Hossain Rajon and many others were alo present on the procession.
Jamaat observed the blockade program in Gulshan area. Jamaat Gulshan thana west Ameer led the procession. Mahmudur Rahman Azad, Jamaat leader Abdur Rafi, Abdul Mutaleb Moin and others were also present on the procession.
