A delegation of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami led by Dr. Sayed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP of the party, visited ailing BNP chairperson and former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia at Evercare Hospital at 12:00pm on Tuesday, October 10. Jamaat Dhaka City South Ameer and member of central executive council Nurul Islam Bulbul, Jamaat Dhaka City North acting Ameer and member of central working committee Abdur Rahman Musa, Jamaat Dhaka City North assistant secretary Dr. Fakharuddin Manik, Jamaat Dhaka City North publicity and media secretary Muhammad Ataur Rahman Sarker were also the members of the delegation.
BNP vice-chairman Dr. A Z M Zahid and Dr. Jafor welcomed the Jamaat delegation. Duty doctor informed the delegation that BNP chairperson is in critical moment.
Jamaat delegation spent a long time at the hospital and spoke to the doctors on duty, Begum Khaleda Zia’s family members and party leaders. They inquired about her health condition.
Then, they briefed to media. Jamaat delegation demanded to the government to ensure better treatment for BNP chairperson abroad.
