Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North assistant secretary and member of central Mojlish-e-Shura Mahfuzur Rahman said, “Build up movement across the country including capital, then, this oppressive government will not get an opportunity to escape.”
He on Wednesday morning said these as the chief guest while addressing at a pro-demonstration rally at Mirpur in the capital. Mirpur thana of Jamaat Dhaka City North arranged the demonstration demanding the formation of election-time caretaker government, the release of its leaders, activists, alem-ulemas including Ameer Dr. Shafiqur, the withdrawal of false, fake and fictitious cases against party leaders and activists.
The demonstration was started from Shanir Mor. The demonstrators moved various important roads of the city. It was ended with a short rally at Rainkhola Bazar.
“Government has arrested Jamaat Ameer only for political purpose. We demand his immediate and unconditional release. Alem-ulemas should be released. National elections must be held under election-time caretaker government,” Mahfuzur Rahman further added.
S Alam Tutul, Ameer of Jamaat Mirpur thana east, presided over the procession. Dr. Fakharuddin Manik, member of central Mojlish-e-Shura and assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North, was the special guest. Nasirt Uddin, member of working committee of Jamaat Dhaka City North, advocate Abdul Halim, member of mojlish-e-Shura of Jamaat Dhaka City North, M Islam Mrida, Hekim Abdul Mannan, Asaduzzaman, president of Shibir of Dhaka city west unit and others were also present in the procession.
