Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami will hold demonstration in all metropolitans on September 19 to press home the demands for the release of its leaders- activists and alem-ulemas including Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, the withdrawal of all false, fake and fabricated cases and the formation of caretaker government. Jamaat acting secretary general Maulana ATM Masum today on September 19 issued a statement and announced the program.
“The ruling government has imprisoned Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Jamaat central leaders and many activists across the country through fake and fictitious cases. It the leaders-activists get bailed from the court, the government rearrested them from jail gate. The fascist government are filing new cases against Jamaat leaders and activists and renowned alem-ulemas. They are, even, filing cases against dead persons. Famous alem-ulemas and Jamaat leaders-activists are being harassed instead of release. 65 Jamaat-Shibir leaders and activists were arrested last 3 days. No one, including old men and women, children, is being spared from the oppression of the government. The level of government’s oppression has reached its extreme levels,” Jamaat leader added in the statement.
“All opposition parties including Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami demand the immediate resignation of the government for holding a free, fair and inclusive election. The people of the country demanded the caretaker government system. The government is plotting to hold a farce election again by keeping the opposition parties out,” Jamaat acting secretary further added.
“I am pronouncing a peaceful demonstration in all metropolitans on September 19 to press home the demands for the release of all alem-ulemas including Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, the withdrawal of all false, fake and fictitious cases and the formation of caretaker government,” Maulana ATM Masum added in the statement.
