Jamaat Dhaka City North mourns death of SufiaKhatun
SufiaKhatun, member of central Mojlish-e-Shura of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, former member of working committee of Jamaat Dhaka City North and Jamaat Uttara zone coordinator, passed away at the IBN Sina Specialized Hospital of the capital on August 30 at 3:00pm while undergoing treatment (Inna Lillahiwa Inna IlaihiRajiun). She was suffering from Liver cirrhosis and many other physical complications for a long time. She was 57. Her husband is Nayeb-e-Ameer of JamaatDakshinkhanthana east and member of Mojlish-e-Shura of Jamaat Dhaka City North. She left behind 2 sons and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death.
Her burial prayer was held after Esha prayer at the premises of Abdul Wadud Mosque. She was buried at DakshinkhanFaidabad graveyard. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North acting Ameer Abdur Rahman Musa, Jamaat Uttara zone coordinator Muhammad Jamal Uddin, Jamaat Dhaka City North working committee member MaulanaMuhibullah, Jamaat leader H M Atiqur Rahman, Dr. MaulanaKamrul Islam Shaheen, Ibn Karim AhammadMithu and others were present in the burial prayer.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North acting Ameer and member of central working committee Abdur Rahman Musa and secretary Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of SufiaKhatun.
“SufiaKhatunwas a pioneer of Islamic movement. She played an important role to spread the Dawahof Islam among common people. She dreamt to establish an Islamic welfare state on the basis of justice and worked tirelessly till the end of her life,” city leaders added in a condolence message.
They (city leaders) prayed to the court of Allah so that may Allah (SW) grant the deceased as a martyr. May Allah (SW) grant SufiaKhatun the highest Janna. They prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
