Maulana Delaware Hossain Sayedee was a renowned orator and thinker. He served the Holy Quran more than 50 years. The standard of the so-called International Crimes Tribunal was very poor. He was illegally jailed. The shocked people were deprived of taking part in funeral prayer. Police indiscriminately lobbed sound grenades, bullets, rubber bullets, tear-shell at the mourners. They killed one, injured hundreds. A host of people was arrested. But people took part in funeral prayer ignoring government’s barricade. Maulana Sayedee’s Gayabana Janaja was held in different parts of the globe, added M R Karim.
‘He would dream to establish a society based on justice. He never bowed down to injustice and untruth. The government’s oppression could not deviate him from the path of Islam’, he also added. This city leader called upon all to be united to dethrone this fascist government. Jamaat Dhaka City North held prayer event in 69 organizational thanas and in all wards.
